Kelsey Ramos

Kelsey Ramos, a 2011 Hemingford High School graduate, went to college to obtain an education degree, and then she taught full-time for four years in Alliance. Ramos, however, had another passion in life – taking photos – and that eventually led to her stepping away from teaching to focus solely on being a full-time professional photographer. Although she enjoys a variety of photography, including high school senior portraits, what she loves the most is wedding photography.

HEMINGFORD – For Kelsey (Towne) Ramos, her interest in photography started back when she was a sophomore at Hemingford High School. That was the year she joined the school’s Yearbook Club, although she didn’t necessarily do that just to have an opportunity to take photos.

“I joined the Yearbook Club because my favorite teacher [Kay Horstman] taught it,” said Kelsey, who graduated from Hemingford High School in 2011. “I had fun being in her class – I had such a good connection with her – but what happened is that there were only two of us on the Yearbook Club, so we had to take all the pictures, and we created the entire yearbook for the whole year. I loved it, and I discovered how much I enjoyed taking photographs.”
