Sidney senior Sophie Price, who’s one of the top high school singers in Nebraska, loves performing on stage, but what she enjoys even more is trying to make a positive difference in other people’s lives. That’s why she’s decided to forgo a career in performing arts to instead pursue a career in social justice to help stop sex trafficking.

SIDNEY – Whenever Sophie Price is on stage performing, she doesn’t think about herself, the words she’s singing, the director, or anybody else who’s on stage.
Her focus is solely on the people in the audience.
“There’s always somebody in the audience who needs to hear what you have to say,” said Price, a Sidney High School senior who’s one of the top young singers in the state. “That’s such an important thing for me to remember when I’m on stage – that my reason for being there is to try to inspire and help people.”
