CHADRON – Trevor Berry, a senior at Chadron High School, is Nspire Today!’s Male Athlete of the Month for September, sponsored by Kristy Culek Agency, LLC-American Family Insurance. He competes in football, basketball, golf, and Legion baseball. He’s also involved with Cardinal Singers and Cardinals Committed. He’s one of the top quarterbacks in the region, and he’s in his second year as Chadron’s starting QB. His parents are LeeVern and Tricia Berry.
Q: How do you like the way things have been going for Chadron’s football team?
BERRY: “I’m very pleased with the way we’ve been playing. Our O-line play and our defensive play have been really good.”
Q: What are your hopes for Chadron the rest of this football season?
BERRY: “We hope to win the rest of our games, win districts, and get a playoff spot.”
Q: How does this year’s Chadron football team compare to other football teams you’ve been on?
BERRY: “I feel like this year’s team has more chemistry with each other. All of us have confidence in one another, and everyone works hard. It’s fun to be part of this year’s team.”
Q: How much have you enjoyed playing quarterback?
BERRY: “It’s awesome. I love it. I just try to do whatever I can to help our team win. I enjoy helping my teammates.”
