CHURCH CHAT with Katy Griess of Scottsbluff

Katy Griess, of Scottsbluff, attends Grace Chapel in Scottsbluff. She helps lead the music program for the older children on Wednesday nights, and she’s also involved in the women’s ministry group, Soul Sisters, which meets once a month. She puts together “kids packs,” which include crayons and snacks, for children who attend Sunday services, and she also puts together “care packages” for people at the church who are battling adversity. In addition, she serves on the church’s vision team. She and her husband, Dave, have three children: Sarah, a 10th-grader at Scottsbluff High School; Eddie, a seventh-grader at Bluffs Middle School; and Miles, a third-grader at Westmoor Elementary School. Katy was born and raised in Scottsbluff, and she graduated from Scottsbluff High School in 1998. She works part-time as an interior painter, and she also works part-time as an oral surgery assistant at Owen Oral & Implant Surgery in Scottsbluff.
