Scotts Bluff Area Visitors Bureau Press Release

Gering/Scottsbluff — The Scotts Bluff Area Visitors Bureau is inviting community members to recognize the everyday heroes who keep our community running by nominating their favorite frontline employees for the Service Champion Award.

Frontline employees are the first point of contact for customers, community members and visitors coming into our community.  From retail workers, business owners, the hospitality teams at our lodging properties and wait staff at our restaurants, these individuals play a vital role in creating positive experiences and help guests find their way to events and local attractions.

The Service Champion Award celebrates individuals who consistently go above and beyond in their roles. Nominators are encouraged to share stories of exceptional service, dedication, kindness, and professionalism that make a meaningful difference to customers, coworkers and visitors alike.

“We know there are countless frontline employees who make a positive impact on guests and help to build a great experience for travelers visiting Scotts Bluff County said Brenda Leisy, Director of the Scott Bluff Area Visitors Bureau. “This is an opportunity for the tourism industry to recognize their hard work, commitment, and the difference they make.”

Anyone may submit a nomination. Nominees can work in any frontline role, including retail, the hospitality industry, attractions, restaurants, coffee shops, convenience stores, gas stations and events.

Selected honorees will be recognized for their contributions and commitment to outstanding service.

How to Nominate
Nominations are open now through April 15, 2026. Community members can nominate someone by simply providing the employee’s name, workplace, and a short description of why they deserve recognition and email it to Brenda Leisy @ Brenda.leisy@scottsbluffcountyne.gov.
