FEATURE: ‘An amazing feeling’

For most of her life, Christina Boehr of Morrill had no interest in running, even as a form of exercise. That began to change, however, seven years ago when Boehr, who was 29 at the time, decided to try running on a treadmill to stay in shape while she was pregnant with her fifth child. She eventually grew to enjoy running – so much so that she even began competing in marathons in 2020. She recently competed in her sixth and biggest full marathon – the Boston Marathon.

“For most of my life, I hated running,” she said with a laugh. “In high school, my mile time was 17 minutes or something ridiculous like that. It was awful.”
