Melissa Turman of Gering followed God’s leading when she accepted the role of Area Director of the Panhandle for FCA.

GERING – Melissa Turman of Gering has been the Area Director of the Panhandle for Fellowship of Christian Athletes since Dec. 1, 2021.
It’s a position she’s glad she was able to obtain.
“One of my friends had been working for FCA in a different position,” said Turman. “She stepped away from it to be at home a little more, but I knew a bit about what my friend had been doing and what her job looked like, and her experience is what initially got me interested.”
Turman’s past experience volunteering in ministry helped qualify her for a position with FCA.
“I saw some of the things God had been growing in my life through other ministries as being possibly applicable in an FCA role,” said Turman. “I talked to my husband, Matt. We prayed about it, and I had several more conversations with different people who were involved with FCA.”
