Balloon pilot David Eichhorn’s love of ballooning helped save “Western Spirit,” an historic hand-painted balloon. After serving in the Air Force, he learned how to pilot balloons and is a frequent flier over the skies of western Nebraska during the Old West Balloon Fest.
