Rich Flores

Rich Flores had a tough life growing up in Kimball, but one of the things his mom taught him and his 7 siblings was how to persevere through the tough times. Although Flores faced other challenges as an adult, he’s always overcame them thanks to his driven, never-give-up attitude. The 69-year-old Flores remains highly driven today, and even though he retired a few years ago after running several successful businesses in Kimball, he still wants to do everything he can to help make his hometown the best place it can possibly be.

KIMBALL – No matter how hard life was growing up, Rich Flores could always count on his mother, Ruth Phillips, to cheer him up.

“She’s always had a great sense of humor,” said the 69-year-old Flores, who’s spent most of his life living in Kimball. “She taught me and my seven siblings to laugh through life. She always said, ‘There’s humor everywhere.” We even laughed at ourselves a lot. That was important because I don’t think any of us would be where we are today without her wonderful approach to life.”
