BAYARD — Lexi Nesbitt has spent most of her life in a gym. Not just showing up for practices and games, but living inside the rhythms of a small-school athletic culture where families know the schedules by heart, teammates double as lifelong friends, and the seasons blend together in one long thread of effort.
“It was really hard (missing time because of injuries) because my whole life I’ve been in the gym,” Nesbitt said.
