From a missionary kid in Michigan to a life as a pastor in multiple states before winding up at Calvary Memorial Church in Gering, Pastor Gary Hashley has had one primary goal in life – to follow God’s leading.

GERING – Pastor Gary Hashley of Calvary Memorial Church in Gering never planned on being a pastor, but he eventually realized it was what God was leading him to do.
“My parents were working at a children’s ministry called ‘Rural Bible Ministries’ in Michigan, so I grew up a missionary kid. I planned on going into ministry, but I never thought it would be as a pastor,” he said. “I went to Grand Rapids School of the Bible and Music to train to be a missionary pilot and earned my private pilot’s license, but God had other plans.”
