SCOTTSBLUFF – Ashlynn Haun of Scottsbluff graduated from Kansas State University last spring with a master’s in communication science disorders.

She is still attending college there, pursuing a master’s in speech language pathology to become a speech pathology therapist.

“It was kind of a windy road. I always liked working with kids and had a heart for ones with disabilities,” Haun said. “I came to college with the interior design program. I wanted to design inclusive child development facilities. But in the first year, I realized I missed working hands-on with kids. I started looking for a new path, spoke to a speech language pathologist, and decided that’s what I wanted to do. I’ve loved it ever since.”
