SIDNEY – If you look out your kitchen window to see your pastor rolling up to your house on his motorcycle in order to drop off an afghan he crocheted as a gift, you might be a member of the congregation at First United Methodist Church in Sidney.

Reverend Corey Jenkins, or Pastor Corey as he prefers to be called, is a leather-working, afghan crocheting, deer hunting, motorcycle riding, servant of God.

“I received my call into ministry when I was eleven years old at summer camp,” Jenkins said. “I had a vision when I was looking at the pastor standing in front of the chapel and felt God was telling me that was what I was supposed to be doing.”
