  • Father’s Day Classic Rock-n-Roll Car Show, presented by High Plains Auto Club, at Five Rocks Amphitheater in Gering, over 300 cars on display from 7 states during “Show-n-Shine” events; food and music; admission is free; show starts with a “Parade of Cars” through downtown Gering at 8:30 a.m.
  • Valley Auto 4×4 Truck Show in Gering, event by Valley Auto Locators
  • Monument Market at Uptown Scottsbluff (Monument Mall), 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • John Mentgen at PapaMoon Vineyards/Winery & Cider House in Scottsbluff, 6-9 p.m.; John Mentgen is a local artist who started Singing for Supper, a charity to help raise money and food donations for food insecurity in the valley. Come join us on the patio for some live music, drinks and snacks.
  • Morrill County Festival of Hope at Prairie Winds Community Center in Bridgeport, 1-4 p.m.
  • Alliance Animal Center Doggie Dash, 10-11 a.m. in Alliance
  • Cowboy Mounted Shooters at Fort Robinson State Park; The Cowboy Mounted Shooters return to Fort Robinson State Park. Enjoy this display of horsemanship as they race around the arena displaying a variety of mounted shooting skills. Performance times TBD, contact Fort Robinson for more information.
  • Ride the Ridge at Fort Robinson State Park; After a hiatus in 2021, Ride the Ridge is back in 2021. Registration will begin at 8 a.m. at Fort Robinson State Park (follow the signs), with the free trail ride beginning at 9 a.m. Lunch will be on your own, and riders can choose to take part in another afternoon trail ride or watch Mounted Shooting at the arena.
  • Junkyard Jezebelle at County Flea Market; Check out the County Flea Market’s Junkyard Jezebelle 2021. Located three miles east of Chadron on Redfern Road, there will be vintage and antique vendors, a food truck and kettle corn.
  • Retro Night at Staab’s Drive-Inn, 6-9 p.m.; Join Staab’s Drive-Inn for Retro Night! Showcase your classic cars, enjoy some oldies tunes and take advantage of their $1 small cone special!

Monday, June 21

  • Summit CC golf tournament at the Scotts Bluff Country Club, 8 a.m. shotgun start
  • The PG-rated movie “The Big Year,” sponsored by the Gering Library and Wildcat Audubon Society, will be shown at the Gering Civic Plaza. This is a free event. The Midwest Theater will provide free popcorn to the first 100 people. Earlier in the evening (7:30-8:30 p.m.), staff will launch ladybugs and possibly do a story time for the younger kids. The Lemon Love Food Truck will also be there. The movie will start around 9 p.m.
