After beating breast cancer about 30 years ago, Sue Jansante of Gering beat another type of cancer – acute myeloid leukemia – a few years ago. Jansante said she couldn’t have survived those difficult situations without the strong, caring support from her family and friends and the power, faithfulness and love of God.

GERING – Sue Jansante of Gering loves to spend time outside, especially gardening, hiking, golfing, and going for walks. She also enjoys quilting, particularly for her grandkids, and spending precious time with her husband, Val, and their family and friends.
She’s also big into reading her Bible every day and studying scripture.
“I’m so thankful to have Christ in my life and for everything He’s done for me,” she said. “I wouldn’t be here today without Him.”
The healing power of God, she said, is the only way she can explain why she’s still alive after battling cancer – not just once but twice.
