Helping the homeless and the environment

Myrna Mitchell of Morrill has been making mats out of plastic shopping bags the last two years to help homeless people in the area stay dry when they’re sleeping on the ground. It’s a project, she said, that also helps the environment since the thousands of bags she uses don’t end up in a landfill or in the ocean.
