SCOTTSBLUFF – When Shelby Hadenfeldt was going to school to earn a fashion merchandising major at the University of Nebraska at Lincoln, she would often think about opening her own store in Scottsbluff someday.

“That was always my dream,” she said.

She thought it would be cool, too, to own and operate a store with her mom, Susan Harvey, who at the time was working at the UNL Panhandle Research and Extension Center as a research coordinator in the Entomology Department.

“One day we were in Fort Collins, and we went into a cool store that was owned by a mother and her daughter,” Hadenfeldt said. “We were like, ‘If we ever live in the same town together again, that’s what we want to do.”
