When it comes to superior design, it’s hard to beat the work produced by Douglas Designs, a local business that launched in 2013. It’s owned and operated by the husband/wife team of Doug and Candice Pederson.

Their list of graphic design offerings is substantial and includes creating logos, business cards, flyers, posters, banners, brochures, tri-folds, envelopes, indoor/outdoor signage, and custom wall paper. They also build websites, design graphics for vehicles, and work closely with clients to improve their branding.

“We love being able to offer great graphic design to people,” Doug said. “We work hard to make sure every client is happy with what we’ve created.”

Both Doug and Candice have decades of creative design experience. Doug has been doing design work for nearly 30 years. He’s worked with both smaller and bigger clients in the WyoBraska region. Before Douglas Designs opened, he worked for Magazine Publications of the Las Vegas Review-Journal before landing a job at an ad agency. He also was a graphic designer at Regional West Medical Center and WNCC. During his career, he’s earned several design awards. Candice, meanwhile, has more than 20 years of experience doing design work for both newspapers and magazines, including The Daily Nonpareil in Council Bluffs, Iowa; the Wyoming Livestock Roundup in Casper; Nspire Today! Magazine, and the Star-Herald. Candice started her career as a writer before focusing mostly on creative work.

Between Doug and Candice, they’ve provided design services for more than 150 clients, ranging from small, local businesses to big companies. They’ve also helped many non-profits, start-ups, and healthcare facilities. They’ve even created signs that are on display at Chimney Rock as well as Ash Hollow State Historical Park.

A big part of their success, Candice said, is due to the “personal touch” they give to their clients. They’re well known for not only their creative skills but also for being efficient and affordable. Recently, Douglas Designs invested a lot of money to purchase a wide format printer, which has allowed them to fulfill printing needs sooner while also saving clients money.

The Pedersons said they appreciate all of the clients who have trusted them to produce impressive-looking and effective design work.

“We love helping people with their graphic design needs, and it makes us feel good when they see our work as high quality. Because of that, we have a lot of repeat clients,” Doug said.

The Pedersons said they look forward to continuing to grow their business.

“It’s cool that we’ve been in business for 12 years, and we’re excited to build upon what we’ve done so far,” Candice said.
