Wendy Ludwig, of Scottsbluff, is the admissions coordinator/LPN for Northfield Retirement Communities.

She’s been in that position for two years. Altogether, Ludwig has worked for NRC for four years.

Before becoming the admissions coordinator, she worked as a full-time LPN.

“I love it here. I couldn’t work for a better company,” Ludwig said. “The department heads are all very helpful, and they try to be understanding. We have a great administrator and CEO [Bill Johnson] who will go above and beyond to help people, so it makes it easy to work here. All the staff is really good here.”

Ludwig said she’s been working in the medical field for 14 years, including her first 10 years in home health.

Ludwig, who graduated from Fremont High School in 1991, got her LPN license in 2007.

“I come from a very large family and when I saw my mom and dad struggling with their health, I wanted to be someone who could help take care of them,” she said. “I liked the geriatric part of nursing. It just seemed to fit me.”
