Drew Romick decided earlier this year to join the Nebraska Army National Guard, and one reason why is so he could train to become an airborne infantryman. Romick, who scored high enough on his ASVAB test to receive a $20,000 bonus, said he looks forward to the adrenaline rush and challenge of learning how to jump out of an airplane.

ALLIANCE – For about the first half of this school year, Drew Romick didn’t know what he would be doing after he graduated from Alliance High School in May.
“I knew I wanted to get out of Alliance to see some new things, but I wasn’t really looking to start college right away,” he said. “So, I didn’t know where I would end up.”
