Hay Springs High School senior Ashley Tobiasson has known for years that she wants to pursue a career in engineering. To help her get a jumpstart on that career, she decided to join the robotics team in Hay Springs her sixth-grade year, and she’s been heavily involved in it since then. She and her teammates have been pretty successful at it, too, and their goal this year is to make it back to the state competition – and maybe even advance to the world competition.

HAY SPRINGS – Halfway through this school year, there’s still a lot of high school seniors who aren’t sure what they want to do for a career yet.
Ashley Tobiasson of Hay Springs isn’t one of them. In fact, she’s known what she wants to do for a career since she was in elementary school. She wants to be an engineer.
“I’ve always thought that would be a cool job to have,” she said.
