David W. Becker Sr., 68, of Morrill, passed away Sunday, November 7, 2021 at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Thursday, November 11, 2021 at Mitchell United Methodist Church with Pastor Randy Brotzman officiating. Cremation has taken place in accordance with David’s wishes. Memorials may be made in care of the family to be designated later. David was born July 1, 1953 in Scottsbluff to Fred and Ramona (Sanger) Becker. He attended school at Morrill and Mitchell. David began working as a truck driver after graduation. He was employed with Smith and Dart Trucking during his career. He also was a skilled heavy equipment mechanic and previously worked for Russell’s Excavation and Construction.
David married Stephanie Falwell on October 15, 2005 and together they made their home in Morrill.
He was an incredible friend to many. Although he was a very set-in-his-ways type of man, he was very kind-hearted, giving and encouraging. David loved spending time with his family and making memories together. He liked watching Westerns to relax in the peace of his home. David also enjoyed writing poetry to his wife.
Survivors include his wife, Stephanie Becker of Morrill; children, David Jr. (Isabelle) Becker of Colorado Springs, CO, Megan (William) Polk of Scottsbluff, and Athenia and Nathan Becker of Morrill; grandchildren, Aubree and Jaxson Becker of Colorado Springs and Rylee Hickman of Scottsbluff; brother, Tim (Barb) Becker of Laramie, WY; sister, Carol Becker of Scottsbluff; along with other extended family members and a host of friends.
David was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Fred Becker.
