Homero M Gonzales, 84, of Lyman, Nebraska, went to be with the Lord on January 25, 2021 at Swedish Medical Center surrounded by his loved ones.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2021 at Dugan Kramer Funeral Chapel from 4pm until 6pm with praying of the Rosary immediately to follow. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, February 5, 2021 at St. Theresa Catholic Church in Mitchell at 10am and burial at Forest Lawn.
On December 2, 1936, an honorable man was born to Guadalupe Montalvo and Maria Antonia Munoz in a small town known as Falfurrias, Texas.
Homero married his lifelong partner, Pauline Aguirre, on May 5, 1959 in Harlingen, Texas, where they started their family in 1961, which grew, and together they were blessed with 9 beautiful daughters and 3 handsome sons. In 1989, Homero made his permanent home in Lyman, Nebraska, where he lived the remainder of his life. Homero enjoyed spending time outdoors, having cook-outs at the Riverside Zoo with his family, and driving out to the lake with his wife, where the enjoyed the scenery and nature. He was the most loving, caring, and patient father. His children and grandchildren loved him very much. He will be forever missed dearly.
He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Pauline Aguirre Gonzales; children, Homero Gonzales Jr., Ricardo Gonzales, Sylvia (Desi) Garcia, Diana (Raul) Gonzalez, Oscar Gonzales & family, Gloria (Paul) Narvais, Lisa (Eddie) San Miguel, Esmi Rodriguez, Marcy Gonzales, Kathy Gonzales, Mary Gonzales, Lupita (Raul) Ayala; along with 31 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his siblings and two grandsons, Raul Gonzalez Jr. and Jose Oscar Gonzales Jr.
