Hunter Wayne Lemley, 21 of Morrill, Nebraska passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 24, 2022.
His memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at 2:00 pm at Zion Evangelical Church in Scottsbluff with Pastor Mike Meysenburg officiating. A private family graveside will be at West Lawn Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the family to be designated at a later date. Fondest memories and condolences may be shared on www.dugankramer.com. Hunter was born July 10, 2000 in Scottsbluff to Miles Lemley and Ladonna Crisman. He graduated from Mitchell High School in 2019. He learned to be a mechanic at Horsecreek Tire and then became a Service Technician at Deines Irrigation. He was a member of the Lyman-Kiowa Volunteer Fire Department. He loved all the people he worked with and working outdoors. He enjoyed working with his hands, repairing and building things.
Hunter could light up a room with his smile and eyes. He was a jokester and prankster and loved to make everyone laugh. There was never a time where he didn’t put someone else before himself. Truly one of the kindest souls.
He was an excellent athlete, being a part of the 2017 State Champion, 4 x 100 relay team. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved his hunting and fishing trips with his dad, uncle Odie and his grandpa. His proudest moment was to have the largest whitetail deer of the family.
Hunter loved spending time with his family and friends. His commitment to them was like no other. In his short 21 years, Hunter made an impact on everyone he met.
Hunter is survived by his parents Miles and Dawn Lemley of Morrill and Ladonna and Josh Crisman of Gretna; sisters Ashlee Lemley of Mitchell and Mackenzie and Christopher Buskirk of Bayard, brother Dawson Jacobs of Morrill, sisters Devyn Crisman and Reagyn Crisman both of Kearney. His special uncle Matt (Odie) and Kathy Lemley of Scottsbluff; grandparents Mick and Sharon Lemley of Scottsbluff, Don Chick of Milligan, NE, Fred and Paula Mortensen of Mitchell and Kenny and Kim Crisman of Gothenburg, NE; great grandmother Jean Kraus; aunts and uncles Joe and Lydia Tucker of Milligan, NE, Laurie and Steve Mochel of Roeland Park, KS, Cindy Chick of North Platte, NE, Lorena Rockwell of North Platte, NE, Billy and Christi Watson of Morrill, NE and their children Sabrina Watson (Santiago Hernandez) and Megan Watson (Wyatt Buckley). He had numerous extended cousins, family and friends and his best four-legged companion Buddy.
Hunter was preceded in death by his grandmother Darlene Chick and great grandparents Lavern and Mary Meyer.
