Jay Arthur Bissell, 63 of Scottsbluff, Nebraska passed away Thursday, April 25, 2019 at his home.
His memorial service will be held on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Chuck Wagon Church with Pastor Al Wilson officiating. Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. Jay was born on September 15, 1955 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska to Carl L Bissell and Jean A (Pedersen) Bissell. He received his early education in Torrington, graduating from Mitchell High School. Jay lived in Mitchell most of his life. Jay attended Chuck Wagon Church.
Jay had worked at B & C Steel, Panhandle Concrete, Scottsbluff Sugar Factory and Cline Trout Farm.
He loved planting and growing flowers and trees and he raised homing pigeons.
Survivors include his brothers Keith (Clarisse) Bissell, Ivan (Carrie Dawn) Bissell and Bert (Marie) Bissell and sister Carla (James) Holden.
He is preceded in death by his father Carl L Bissell (2007) and mother Jean A Bissell (2012).
Jay was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege to know him.
