On October 22, 2021, Jeri Erdman passed from death to eternal life at RWMC in Scottsbluff after nearly a yearlong battle with numerous illnesses, injuries and complications from lifelong medical issues that were finally too much to sustain her life.
Jeri Lee (Hudlow) Erdman was born June 4, 1958 in Othello, Washington, to Arnold and Danell (Jolly) Hudlow. She joined older sister Jodi (Barry) McDougall and was born before brother Wayde (Kathy) Hudlow. When a tragic accident took the lives of Jeri’s aunt and uncle, her three cousins, Jamie (Terry) Utecht, Dan Pavel and Sam Pavel came to live with the Hudlows. The six were raised as brothers and sisters. She grew up on a dryland wheat farm east of Connell, Washington. She attended Connell Elementary, Junior High and High School, graduating as the valedictorian.
Jeri went on to become a registered nurse, a goal she pursued from a very early age. She married her high school sweetheart, Tim Erdman on June 24, 1978. Jeri and Tim had two sons, Michael (Jamie), and Matthew (Tara). She was blessed with many grandchildren, Tyler (Dakota) Schultz, Paige Schultz, Christian, Zachary, Autum, Wyatt, Mason, Ryder and Callie Erdman, and three great grandchildren, Tyeson, Jaydenn and Raelynn Schultz. Jeri was the best “Grammy”.
As well as being a nurse, Jeri home-schooled her two sons until high school, was the choir accompanist for Bayard High School for 14 years, then worked with Tim in their business, West Nebraska Seed and Chemical. Jeri accomplished much on this earth, but her absolute commitment to following Jesus as her Savior, is the greatest testament she left for all of us. She will be greatly missed by so many.
Her memorial service will be Friday, October 29, 2021, at 1:00 p.m. at The Rock Church, 3515 5th Avenue, Scottsbluff, Ne, with a visitation the night prior at The Rock Church from 5:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to Chosen People Ministries in New York, New York and online condolences for the family may be left at www.dugankramer.com
