Jerry Dean Ballinger, 65 of Gering, Nebraska passed away Friday, December 3, 2021 at Regional West Medical Center.
Jerry was born on July 19, 1956 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. He received his education from Scottsbluff High School.
Jerry owned J.B. House Moving and worked most of his life as a general contractor both building and moving houses. He loved to paint, ride motorcycles in his younger days, play the guitar, sing and watched Fox News to keep up on current events. Jerry also enjoyed telling jokes and made everyone laugh. He always made sure the grandkids were taken care of and loved them immensely.
Survivors include his children Janelle (Trevor) Porter, Siera Ballinger, Torrey (Sharon) Gompert, Tiffany (Jon) Schmidt, Christopher Gompert and Nick (Brittany) Marez; 23 grandchildren; siblings Rita Rico, Debra (Jim) Engler, Steven (Karen) Ballinger, Gary (Julie) Ballinger, Patricia Deines and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Delores and George Sauer and nephew Travis Ballinger.
Services will be held at Grace Chapel in Scottsbluff, NE on Tuesday December 14th at 2 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to be made to Grace Chapel.
