Julie Mae McLaughlin

Julie Mae McLaughlin, was born on August 22, 1961. She gained her angelic wings on March 3, 2022, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska.  A funeral service for Julie will be on Monday, March 7, 2022, at 11:00 am MDT, at Bridgman Funeral Home, 2104 Broadway, Scottsbluff, Nebraska with Pastor Rick Reisig officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Scottsbluff.  This will be followed by a luncheon at Jimmy and Jane Rice’s at 1801 Avenue M, Scottsbluff, Nebraska.

She was born, raised, and lived her entire life in Scottsbluff. Julie had beat all odds that were against her. She loved music. You could hear her sing all day, all night and she probably sang in her sleep. When we speak of Julie to others, many knew her as a kind and passionate person. For some reason, many remember her the most of her three siblings. We started to buy Julie trinkets of elephants. The reason why, is that when you would get upset with her, she would say, “Just have an elephant.” We gave her an elephant, and then the collection grew.
She is survived by her mother, Shirley McLaughlin, brother Dennis McLaughlin; sisters Sheri Deines, Judy Kraye (Julie’s Twin Sister) (Fred); nephew Paul Kraye (Ashlynn); and nieces Ashley McLaughlin, and Adrienne Deines. She has 2 great nieces and 3 great nephews; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Julie is proceeded in death by her late father, Eldon McLaughlin and brother-in-law Wyatt Deines, along with her grandparents.
Those of us who have shared Julie’s journey of life have been blessed. She taught us the most important lesson in life. That we all take for granted things that others fight for.
