OBITUARY: Kenneth ‘Ken’ D Tyrrell of Scottsbluff

Kenneth “Ken” D Tyrrell, 93 of Scottsbluff, Nebraska passed away Friday, May 21, 2021 at Regional West Medical Center.

His funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at the New Beginnings Church of the Nazarene in Scottsbluff with Pastor Cliff Transmeier officiating. Kenneth was born July 17, 1927 in Seward County, Nebraska to Clarence and Eunice (Larkin) Tyrrell.  He received his early education at country schools and graduated from Minatare High School. He married Donna Mae Denton on September 3, 1949.  In their early life together, they worked on a wheat farm north of Wauneta, NE.  Shortly thereafter they returned to western Nebraska, working on a ranch north of the Hemingford/Alliance area for Bud Scott Herefords. They later settled in the Bayard and Minatare area.

He is survived by his daughters Cindy (Paul) Bennett of Choctaw, OK and Luann (Matt) Lucas Fountain Hills, AZ; grandchildren Cara of San Francisco, CA and Cory of Choctaw, OK; two great grandchildren; sisters Erma (Leroy) Hamburg of Scottsbluff and Janice Cassinelli of San Diego, CA and numerous nieces and nephews.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his wife Donna; parents Clarence and Eunice Tyrrell, brothers Keith and Max and sisters Nadine Roberts and Donna Terrell.
