Memorial services for Mary Louise (Hendricks) LaFrenz, age 83, of Scottsbluff, Nebraska, who died Monday, November 8th, 2021, at Regional West Medical Center, will be held Saturday, November 20th, at 10:30am at Scottsbluff Church of Christ on 1919 Ave N with Pastor David Schmitt officiating. Mary was born May 30th, 1938, in Ft. Collins, Colorado, to Valda Vista Hendricks and Evaline Pratt. She received her early education at Cache La Poudre schools, graduating from La Porte, Colorado, in 1956. She married James Lynn LaFrenz on December 5th, 1958, at Church of Christ in Bellvue, Colorado. Mary was a devoted homemaker, coming from Ft. Collins, Colorado, Brighton, Colorado, and Goodland Kansas, until they settled in Scottsbluff in 1986. Mary loved her children and grandchildren, as well as taking camping trips with Jim in their 5th wheel camper. Mary was a lifetime member of the Church of Christ and worshipped with the congregation in Scottsbluff.
Survivors include: Daughter, Elizabeth Dugan of Oklahoma; Daughter, Mary J (Kevin) Zimmerman of Kansas; Son, Jim LaFrenz of Nebraska; Son Jon (Janell) LaFrenz of Colorado; seven grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Sister, Jaqueline; Brother, Russel; And husband, Jim, in 2017.
