On Friday, January 21, 2022, Miriam Brown, 95, passed into the arms of her Lord and Savior at Central Wyoming Hospice & Transitions in Casper, Wyoming.
Miriam was born to Katherine Greenwalt and Conrad Ditter on September 28, 1926, in Yoder, Wyoming. She grew up in the Scottsbluff, Nebraska area and resided there until her recent move to Casper, Wyoming to be nearer to her daughter.
She attended country schools through the 8th grade when she had to stay home and help the family on the farm. She married and had 2 children, Rick and Cheryl, who she loved beyond. She worked for Panhandle CO-OP for 33 years. She was very proud that she made her own raised her children without any assistance. She was an avid reader, especially the Bible which she lived her life by. She was a wonderful cook and baker and always made sure you had enough if you ate at her house. Jaci, Katie & Tyler have adopted some of her German recipes. She attended the Baptist Church and enjoyed helping with the diaper distribution, contributing to the carry-ins, bible studies and worship services. She would often get together with friends and do nursing home visits until she went to assisted living and got caught up in the COVID quarantine. Her favorite thing to do was visiting her children and grandchildren and then telling anyone who would listen in great detail, how proud she was. She loved nic nacs and enjoyed sharing with the grands and greats when they came to visit.
Miriam is survived by her children Rick Brown (Margaret) and Cheryl Rintamaki (Richard). Six grandchildren Jaci Schmidt (Steve), Katie Schaffer (Sam), Tyler Bandemer (Andrea), Charlotte Owens (Max), Cody Bandemer (Nikki) and Arron Brown. Nine great grandchildren, Morgann Parga (Chris). Abi & Hannah Schoup, Connor & Braden Schmidt, Taylor, Reece and Jordyn Bandemer, Colton Sherman, Qywnn Bandemer and Miles Schaffer. She was preceded by her parents, her siblings; Irene Kuhlman (Alex), Helen Schwab (Dave), Harvey Ditter (Betty) and Harold Ditter (Nadine) and a grandson Eugene Brown.
Granddaughter Hannah said it so perfectly, she loved so fiercely and had a way of making everyone feel important and special. I am so thankful that she was ours to love; she made it easy.
Special people in her life were nieces, Beverly Danbom and Val West and cousin, Vicki Schmidt.
She will be sadly missed by her family and friends who were so blessed to love and be loved by her.
Memorials can be made to Central Wyoming Hospice and Transitions, 319 S. Wilson, Casper, WY 82609.
