Robert A. 'Bob' Shea of Bridgeport

Robert A. “Bob” Shea, 81, of Bridgeport, passed away on December 27, 2021 at Chimney Rock Villa in Bayard.  Cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation.  A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 4 PM on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at Bridgeport Memorial Chapel with Pastor Jonathan Seng officiating.  Inurnment will take place at a later date at the St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery in Platte, South Dakota.  Memorials may be given to the Broadwater Fire Department or to the Morrill County Hospital Foundation (put “Tanner Stichka Memorial” in memo line).  Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.bridgeportmemorialchapel.com for the Shea family.

Josephine “JoseFina” (Aguayo) Vallejo, 97 of Scottsbluff

Bob was born June 1, 1940 at Platte, South Dakota to William L. Sr. and Anna M. (Grimm) Shea.  He received his education at Signal #3 Country School.

Bob was united in marriage to Hattie B. Pavel on October 31, 1969.

Bob worked for Dominion Electric Company in the Panhandle of Nebraska erecting energy towers.

Bob enjoyed hunting, playing cards, and catching up with friends and neighbors over a cup of coffee (or an adult beverage).

He is survived by his brother William (Florence) Shea, Jr. of New Holland, SD; sisters Mary (Melvin) Weekly of York, Pennsylvania and Angela (Ron) Boone of Marietta, Georgia; nieces, nephews, friends, and extended family members.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, wife Hattie in 2009, and brother George Shea in 2017.
