Salvador was born November 5, 1946 in Mexico to Jesus and Maria (Para la fox) Zambrano. He married Raquel Villagrana in 1976 and to this union two sons were born, Carlos and Salvador Jr. Salvador later met and married Dora Carrizales of Morrill in 2007. They made their home together in Mitchell.
Salvador worked hard throughout his life. He was a craftsman at Magnolia Homes before becoming employed by Kelly Bean. He remained with Kelly Bean for sixteen years until his retirement.
He enjoyed being outdoors tending to his garden in his free time. Salvador and Dora cared for their four beloved dogs who were their great companions. Each year Salvador looked forward to visiting his homeland in Mexico and would often bring back fan gear of his favorite soccer team, the Chivas. Salvador was upbeat, happy, loved to cook, always listening to music and dancing, just a great guy to be around. He was a family man above all things. He loved his family and the time spent together with each of them.
