Tami Kaye Tapp-Walker, 57, formerly of Scottsbluff, died unexpectedly on April 22, 2022 at her home in Missouri Valley, Iowa. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, May 9, 2022 at Mirage Flats Cemetery near Hay Springs, Nebraska. The service will be livestreamed and recorded to Tami’s obituary page viewable at www.reverencefuneralparlor.com. Memorials may be made in care of the family.
Tami was born July 30, 1964 in San Antonio, Texas. She was a dedicated caregiver throughout her lifetime. She diligently tended to the needs of her clients while working at Region 26, a group home for the disabled. She was a member of the League of Dignity where she was a nurse’s aide. Tami was also an in-home care provider to her own family members. Tami enjoyed traveling and spent time working as a truck driver as well.
She shared a love for motorcycles with her brothers. She stayed active roller-skating and dancing when in better health. She had an appreciation for the outdoors and looked forward to camping, fishing, and canning food from her garden each season. She was a wonderful cook and also talented with arts and crafts.
Survivors include her mother, Judy (Lloyd) Evans; brother, Brett Leisy; sons, Eric (Ryla) Coleman, Ricky Hennis Jr., and Brandon (Jessica) Hennis; grandchildren, Daimen, Trystan, Daytora, Jade Lee, Kailan, and Savanna; nieces, Brianna and Isis Leisy; along with other extended relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Billy Tapp Sr.; grandparents, Carol and Agnes Andreason; and brothers, Billy Tapp Jr. and Michael Tapp.
