Three years ago Autumn and Brent Holt and their three, young children moved to Mitchell, where Autumn and Brent became co-pastors at New Hope Assembly. Their first two years in Mitchell were a disaster, however, due to reasons related to health, jobs, and living conditions. But they persevered through those very difficult times, and now their life – and their future – is much, much brighter. Brent is excited to be living his dream of working in law enforcement, while Autumn enjoys serving as the sole lead pastor at New Hope Assembly, which has some big and exciting – and unusual – changes on the horizon.

MITCHELL – A few months before graduating from Trinity Bible College in Ellendale, North Dakota, Autumn Holt and her husband, Brent, spent quite a bit of time talking about their future, especially which churches they wanted to consider preaching at.
They ended up seeking advice from Autumn’s uncle, Dwight Sandoz, who was a pastor at Lighthouse Assembly of God in Minatare for 17 years before becoming the district superintendent for all of the Assembly of God churches in Nebraska.
Sandoz suggested the Holts look into preaching at New Hope Assembly in Mitchell.
“He knew the church in Mitchell had been without a pastor for several years, so he encouraged us to consider going there,” Autumn said. “He thought it would be a good place for us to learn how to pastor, and he thought it was a church that was ready to grow.”
