Zane L. Wagner, 34, of Minatare, died unexpectedly at his home Monday, November 22, 2021. Cremation has taken place and services will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made in care of the family. Online condolences may be made by visiting www.reverencefuneralparlor.com
Zane was born August 14, 1987 in Scottsbluff to John Jr and Debra (Herdt) Wagner. He worked various jobs following high school, but felt most at home when in the country. He was employed by Nichol Farms near Minatare for four years.
Zane was a devoted father to his son, Ahlijah. Zane had few friends, but the ones he had he held near and dear. He was kind-hearted with a unique, sarcastic wit. He loved the outdoors and his dually truck. He liked powerful engines and had a need for speed.
Survivors include his son, Ahlijah J. Wagner of Minatare; parents, John Jr and Debra Wagner of Minatare; brother, Chris (Victoria) Wagner of Salem, Oregon; sister, Brooklyn (Matt) Mershawn of Rockwell, Texas; maternal grandmother, Leona Herdt of Gering; along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended famlily members.
Zane was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John Sr and Mary Nadine Wagner; and maternal grandfather, Leo Herdt.
