Crystal “Crys” A Schaffer, 66 of Bayard, Nebraska passed away peacefully, Friday, February 10, 2023 at her home with her family be her side.
At her request, cremation has taken place and there will be no services. Memorials may be given to the Bayard Volunteer Fire Department or plant a tree in Crys’s name. She is survived by her husband Wally; children Wade and Tammi Schaffer, Christine and Darren Lattin, Gabe and Andrea Schaffer and John and Erica Leisy; grandchildren Kayla and Al Lattin, Cole Schaffer and Makaela, Kara, Hunter and Carter Leisy and 3 great grandchildren; mother Lorraine Barker; brothers Blaine Barker and Joseph Barker and numerous nieces and nephews.
Crys was preceded in death by her father George, father-in-law and mother-in-law Walt and Shirley Schaffer and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
