Pat Petersen, a care tech at Western Nebraska Veterans Home in Scottsbluff, has been named Nspire Today!’s Hometown Hero of the Week, sponsored by Schank Roofing in Scottsbluff.
Petersen has worked at the Veterans Home since Oct. 30, 2017.
The person who nominated Petersen said, “She is a dedicated worker who has not called in sick all year long and is always picking up extra shifts. In the summers she goes part-time because she also helps her husband run the farm, but when she can, she will pick up shifts, and then when fall comes around, she is back full-time. Pat is a very hard worker who never complains. She is a team player and is always willing to help anyone. She has the best personality and positive attitude, and the members light up when they see her.”
