PVB Press Release
SCOTTSBLUFF — Platte Valley Financial Services Companies, Inc. today announced the completion of its merger with Enevoldsen Management Company and its banking subsidiary, The Potter State Bank of Potter. The company has also completed insurance-related acquisitions that bring these services together under J.G. Elliott Insurance Center, enhancing the experience for customers by offering more comprehensive, accessible insurance solutions across the region.
With the merger complete, Platte Valley Bank has assumed all deposits, loans, and branch operations in Potter and Kimball. Customers will continue working with the same friendly faces they know and trust, including members of the Enevoldsen family. The Potter State Bank locations will change their name to Platte Valley Bank in the summer 2026.
The combined organization now includes 11 Platte Valley Bank locations across Nebraska’s Panhandle and 6 locations in Wyoming, while J.G. Elliott grows to 6 total insurance locations across both states, strengthening access to local agents and comprehensive coverage options.
“The completion of both our banking and insurance mergers reflects more than growth—it reflects our continued commitment to the people and communities we serve,” said Hod Kosman, CEO and Chairman of Platte Valley Companies. “We are proud to carry forward the legacy built by the Kosman and Enevoldsen families, and we remain focused on delivering trusted, relationship-based service for generations to come.”
“J.G. Elliott has a long history of serving families and businesses across our region, and this merger allows us to serve even more customers with expanded expertise and resources,” said Kesha Hoehne, President of J.G. Elliott. “Customers will continue working with the same agents they know—now supported by a stronger, unified team.”
“This partnership honors the tradition and spirit of our community bank,” said Josh Enevoldsen, Community President of The Potter State Bank. “Our team remains right here, serving our neighbors just as we always have, while gaining the ability to offer more solutions through Platte Valley Companies.”
