RDC Press Release
Get ready for lots of candy, prizes and fun as Riverside Zoo in Scottsbluff hosts its annual Easter Egg Hunts this Friday, April 7, and Saturday, April 8.
There will be four separate egg hunts – at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. both days. Each egg hunt will be divided into four age groups, and each one will consist of more than 3,000 eggs filled with not only candy but also prizes and tickets that can be redeemed for larger prizes, such as stuffed animals and other toys.
In addition, attendees will have a chance to enter a raffle each day to win exciting, special prizes, including jumbo stuffed teddy bears and scooters. Kids will also have a chance to meet the giant Easter Bunny!
Each egg hunt will start right at the posted time, and the hunts will end quickly so make sure to arrive early. Please bring an Easter basket.
After the egg hunts, plan to enjoy the other offerings at the zoo, including the large variety of animals, children’s museum, petting zoo, playground, and gift shop. Concessions will be available.
Admission to the Easter Egg Hunts is free for Riverside Discovery Center members. Non-members pay regular admission prices.
Riverside Discovery Center is located at 1600 South Beltline Highway West in Scottsbluff.
Looking ahead, Riverside Zoo will host its annual Clean-up Weekend on April 29-30. Anyone who would like to volunteer that weekend to help spruce up the grounds may call the zoo at 308-630-6236. Volunteers will receive free food and drinks.
Also, mark Saturday, May 27, on your calendar for Riverside Discovery Center’s fun Splash Pad Party, featuring games and activities, prizes, cool drinks and awesome food, and, of course, the opening of the splash pad for the summer season.
