Sal Huerta, a resident at Western Nebraska Veterans Home in Scottsbluff, has been named Nspire Today!’s Hometown Hero of the Week, sponsored by Schank Roofing in Scottsbluff.
Huerta served in the Army from March 6, 1951, to Dec. 5, 1952.
Huerta’s wife, Helen, also lives at the Veterans Home. They have two daughters and one son. Sal, from Mitchell, spent much of his life as a farmer.
