Saying goodbye after 46 years of cutting hair

Gloria Gibbs of Gering knew at a young age she wanted to be a beautician. She began cutting hair in 1973, and she did that until she retired Dec. 13 at the age of 65. She describes her long career as rewarding and memorable, especially since many of her clients also became good friends. Although she found out in October that she has Stage 1 breast cancer, she’s staying positive and strong in her faith and looks forward to enjoying her retirement years and recalling all the good memories she had at Gloria’s Styling Salon.
