Riverside Discovery Center in Scottsbluff will host a Splash Pad Party on Saturday.
There will be games, music and decorations for everyone to enjoy while they cool off on the Splash Pad. Food and drinks will also be available at the concession stand.
Also on Saturday, attendees can check out performances by Theatre West on Riverside Discovery Center’s stage, located next to the Splash Pad. Performance times are 11 a.m., noon, and 1 p.m. The title of the performances is “You’re Awesome, Possum!,” a touring musical for children.
All of these events are included with zoo admission and are free for Riverside Discovery Center members.
Also, visitors this weekend will have a chance to check out three new animals at the zoo – an orphaned baby badger that was unable to be returned to the wild, a Great Horned Owl that was injured and can’t be returned to the wild, and a new male zebra brought in as a recommendation by the zebra species survival plan to breed with RDC’s two female zebras.
Riverside Discovery Center is open daily from 9:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
