Vanessa Woolsey and her younger sister, Patricia, both share a lifelong love for swimming, and both find themselves in a unique, but exciting situation this winter on the Scottsbluff/Gering Seacat swimming and diving team. Vanessa is the team’s new head coach, and one of the swimmers she’s guiding is Patricia, who’s competing as a senior.

Vanessa Woolsey, a 2014 Gering High School graduate, is the new head coach for the Seacats, which is the Scottsbluff/Gering High School swimming and diving team. She managed to secure the position just in time to coach her youngest sister, Patricia, for her senior year at Gering High.
“I taught up in Sioux County the last three years and when a job became available at Gering Public Schools, I decided it was time to come home,” Vanessa said.
