SIDNEY – Hannah Ernst, a senior at Sidney High School, has been attending Sidney Evangelical Free Church for nine years. She helps with the children’s church and the nursery at church, and she also helps with the children’s program at church called The Ark, also known as “Tuesday Church.” The Ark is geared for underprivileged kids in the Sidney area. At Sidney High School, Ernst is involved in One Act and National Honor Society. She has a 3.95 GPA. Her parents are Jennifer and Philip Ernst, and she has a sister, Rachel, who’s a freshman at Sidney High School. Ernst and her family moved to Sidney from Omaha nine years ago.

Q: How much have you enjoyed going to Sidney Evangelical Free Church?

ERNST: “Some of my best memories are of going to Sidney E-Free Church. I’ve met a lot of people there who have been very influential in my life. I like that there are other kids my age at this church. At the church I went to when we lived in Omaha, there weren’t a lot of people there my age. Also, I like going to the events that our church does, like the potluck dinners. I also like our youth group, which I’ve been part of since middle school. When I was younger, I was part of Awana.”
