LYMAN – Lily Krahulik of Lyman attends Mitchell Berean Church. She’s been part of the youth group there since seventh grade. She plans to get involved in the nursery at the church later this year. Krahulik, a senior at Mitchell High School, is involved in One Acts, speech, Quiz Bowl, and National Honor Society. She has a 4.0 GPA. Outside of school, she’s involved in 4-H and the student leadership team in her church’s youth group. After high school, she plans to attend Hastings College, where she’ll double major in studio art and art education. Her parents are Jennifer and Ryan Krahulik, and her siblings are Peyton, who’s 24 and lives in Leavenworth, Missouri; Kenna Bergeron, who’s 21 and is a junior at UNK; and Alex, who’s in seventh grade.

Q: How much have you enjoyed attending Mitchell Berean Church?

KRAHULIK: “I’ve really enjoyed it. When you walk in, you’re greeted by so many friendly faces. They make you feel right at home. Everyone reaches out to you to see how you’re doing and to see if they can help you in any way. I’ve met so many great people there – some who are my age and some who are much older than me and who are my mentors. Also, there’s so many ministries you can get involved in.”

Q: Tell me a little bit about the youth group at your church.

KRAHULIK: “I think the youth group is a really important part of the church. They’re just as welcoming as the rest of the church, and they reach so many people who don’t go to Mitchell Berean. There’s a lot of children and teens who are involved in the youth group, and some of their families don’t go to the church. So, I think the youth group has made a big impact in the area. We’ve been led on a mission to help share the gospel in our area and even beyond that. We’ve had great preaching over the years from Ben and Justin. Everyone there is amazing. It’s just a great group of people who are on a great mission.”
