SCOTTSBLUFF – For as long as Hassie Hood can remember, she’s been passionate about music.

She would often stroll through her house singing songs, some of them that she made up herself, and she started taking piano lessons in kindergarten. Later in life, she even began playing the trumpet.

“I’ve always loved singing and playing music,” said Hood, a senior at Scottsbluff High School. “Music, whether I’m singing or playing an instrument, makes me happy. I get a lot of good emotions from it. I feel beautiful when I sing.”
