A strong desire to help people

Garrett Grubbs of Harrisburg knew at an early age he wanted to make a career out of helping people. He became an active member of the Banner County Fire Department when he was 18 years old, and now at 22, he’s still helping people as a platoon medic in the United States Army.

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado – Even before Garrett Grubbs started elementary school in Harrisburg, he knew what he wanted to do for a career.

“I wanted to be a firefighter, and I also wanted to be in the Army,” he said.
