After retiring as a teacher, Marsha Neifert of Scottsbluff was interested in doing some volunteer work, preferably with kids. So, she ended up becoming a CASA of Scotts Bluff County volunteer, a position she served in for 11 years before stepping away from that organization in January. Neifert said being a CASA volunteer was one of the most rewarding things she’s done in her life, for she loved helping to make a positive difference in the lives of many abused and neglected kids.

SCOTTSBLUFF – When Marsha Neifert of Scottsbluff retired in 2011 after teaching at Geil Elementary School in Gering for 35 years, she knew she wanted to be a volunteer somewhere in the community.
“And I hoped I could still be involved with kids,” she said.
