GERING – “God brought me out here,” said Kiley Callaway, the Senior Pastor at Northfield Church in Gering. “We followed the heart and the voice of God to come out here. We have been here for ten years and love it.”

Callaway grew up in Georgia in a home that went to church every Sunday, but he wasn’t taught how to listen to God’s call.

“Looking back, my parents didn’t encourage the call,” said Callaway. “My mom had her own hairdressing shop in her house with those old-fashioned hair dryers. As a kid, I would get my microphone and preach to the little old ladies that sat under my mom’s hair dryer, but my parents didn’t direct or steer me in that.”

When Callaway was 16 years old, his parents got a divorce, and it had a huge effect on him.

“In high school and college I got into alcohol and drugs,” said Callaway. “But I think God has taken that path and used my mess for His message.”
